Industrial tents operative in minimum time

Sometimes the rush is due to internal organization and production reasons. For example, if they are having an increase in stock and need to temporarily store it. Or if they have to do work in their current facilities and need a space that meets their needs during that time. Even for the storage of raw materials they need to carry out a peak in their production. In other cases, the rush is due to issues outside the company. For example, when international transportation slows down and space is needed to store cargo.  In any of these cases, the most advisable option is to acquire a removable industrial warehouse, either through purchase or rental. In a short time these industrial tents or storage tents can be fully operational. And that short assembly time is a double advantage:

1. You have your covered space solution in advance to be able to continue with your activity.
2. Fewer days of assembly means a much lower cost in labor and use of machinery, which results in significant financial savings.

But what exactly does it mean that these industrial tents are up and running in no time? The best example at VALL is our industrial tent 300m2 EcoSpace that only needs one day of execution to be operational.  At VALL we usually work on projects that must be executed as soon as possible, in different European countries, especially in France and Spain. Based on this experience, these would be some examples, depending on the dimensions and characteristics of each project, of the time periods that our warehouses need to be operational:

• ECS20, industrial tent of 300m2 (20m x 15m) and 4m high. In one day of execution, it was ready to start operating. 
• ECS15, 400m2 (15m x 30m) and 4m high. It was available to the client, fully operational, in just 2 days of execution. 
• ECS40, with an operating area of 2,000m2 (40m x 50m) and 4m high. We only need 7 days of execution.
• ECS30, 3,300 m2 (30m x 110m) and 4 meters high. The assembly was carried out in 15 days. 

And all of them are quality tents, designed under the European regulations for manufacturing, assembly and commissioning EN13782 and EN 1090, and Eurocodes.

What does the speed of execution of a marquee or removable tent depend on?

The time required for an industrial tent to be operational depends on various factors, but especially on these 3: Obviously, a larger size implies more transfer of materials and more assembly work. A smaller size, you need to move less materials and require less work. That is why the measurements and square meters to be covered with the industrial tents have a direct influence on the assembly speed and the time in which they can be used. Another determining factor is the accessibility of the place where the shed or tent has to be set up. It is not the same to mount it in a fully operational and accessible industrial estate, than in a remote, rugged place with no access to services. If, in addition, the land is already ready for building, the assembly work begins instantly, without previous work. Climatic circumstances also play a role. If the project is to be carried out in a harsh climatic environment, the warehouse will have to meet more requirements and become more demanding, as well as its assembly. And, of course, if the assembly coincides with days of harsh conditions, the work also takes place more slowly. The different types of finishes, both in roofs and enclosures, require more or less hours of work.  Of all the options available in covers, the quickest to mount, and also the most economical, is the sliding tarpaulin, either translucent or opaque. To choose the right tent for your needs, you are interested in looking, above all, in the characteristics of each finish:

• Translucent textile canvas without insulation. Provides excellent resistance and tightness results. One of its advantages is that its textile fiber of 650 g / m2 of weight allows natural light to pass through, improving the luminosity of the space with less energy consumption. Depending on its use, even without the need for electrical installation. 
• Non-insulated opaque textile canvas. Very efficient especially in summer or for warm locations, since its weight of 850 g / m2 does not allow light to pass through, keeping the interior protected from high temperatures and offering a cool and safe space.

Regarding the enclosures sides, the tarpaulin is also the fastest solution, although not the only one. And it is important to analyze the different options before choosing:

• Canvas. Either of the two already mentioned can be used for the roof. In addition, it is possible to install it in one piece, which makes it more durable and offers great resistance to the wind. 
• Rigid double sheet sandwich panel. It takes a little more time to assemble than canvas, but is still quick to assemble. It is made up of two profiled, pre-lacquered steel faces and an insulating core. There are different thicknesses and it is advisable to take into account the needs of the company to decide which one is suitable for its industrial tents since they can provide characteristics such as fire resistance.
• Simple corrugated sheet. These are rigid panels of simple pre-lacquered sheet metal, with ribbing, of high quality, cold-formed 40/250. It has a useful width of 1m, a fretwork of 4cm and a thickness of 0.6mm. Although it does not influence its assembly time, it is interesting to know that it is available in different thicknesses, coatings and colors.
